Before you sit down with the team
The single most useful thing I did was walk in with my questions written out. When you are anxious and the appointment is short, the sensible questions evaporate, and you leave having nodded along to things you did not follow.
If you are still working out whether a keyhole valve is even on the table for you, how candidacy is actually decided lays out the heart team, the scan and the risk scoring in plain terms. And once an appointment is booked, the questions worth asking your cardiologist is the list I wish someone had handed me.
None of that stands in for the team who can examine you and read your scans. Use it to have a sharper conversation, not to reach a verdict on your own.
