Comparing notes

This is where readers who have been through a valve procedure, or are weighing one up, compare notes with each other. I started this site because so little was written plainly for patients, and these threads are the other half of that: real accounts of the waiting, the two nights in hospital, and the weeks that follow. Dr. Voss and I keep an eye on things and step in on anything clinical, but most of what proves useful here comes from people who have simply been through it.
